4. How long does therapy usually last?

7. How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy can vary greatly depending on the experience of your therapist and the type of session/ individual or couples. At Trickett Psychotherapy and Trickett Counselling, sessions start as low as $100 dollars if sessions are handled by a under supervision student or intern; $160 by a registered psychotherapist and $180 if you wish to be treated directly by the practice director, RP Marinela Trickett.

8. Do you accept insurance?

At Trickett Psychotherapy and Trickett Counselling unfortunately we do not accept direct billing. Clients should verify with their insurance plans whether they include coverage for Psychotherapy. If their plans do include Psychotherapy, they should not encounter any issues in receiving reimbursement as all of our practitioners are registered with either CRPO or OCSWSSW.

9. How do I know if a therapist is a good fit for me?
Finding the right therapist can be a personal process. It's important to feel comfortable with your therapist and trust them. During your first few sessions, you should evaluate whether you feel heard and understood, and whether their proposed approach to treatment fits your needs. If you're not comfortable, it's completely okay to look for a different therapist and at Trickett Psychotherapy and Trickett Counselling, we only encourage you to share so we help with your search of best fit for you. Your comfort is our priority.
10. What if I need to cancel a session?

At Trickett Psychotherapy and Trickett Counselling, we do have a cancellation policy requiring you to cancel within a certain timeframe (typically 48 hours, weekends excluded) to avoid being charged for the session.
